Bob Waxman, Ph.D. is the Director of The Open Center in Sarasota, FL and is an author, guest speaker and educator.

He experienced a NDE when he was 18, and has been interested in this phenomenon ever since. ​Bob has written (4) books on Comparative Spirituality and produced the best-selling CD: Song Universal.​

With humor and simplicity, Bob deciphers ancient mysteries & symbology, perceptual phenomena, and similarities in world philosophy and religion.

Since 1998, thousands have attended his classes and presentations which are filled with startling facts, fascinating theories and practical applications for finding answers to life’s most difficult questions.

Bob is a frequent guest speaker at education centers and a wide variety of spiritual, religious and philosophical organizations. He holds a Master’s Degree from Skidmore College and a Ph.D. from Saybrook University. His dissertation investigated, “Cognitive Dissonance as an After-Effect of NDEs” (available on Proquest).
